Your Body Is A Temple, continued…
If you missed part 1, click here to read it now.
There are a few questions we need to ask ourselves when thinking about our body as a temple, and I’ll give you 2 of them today:
1) Where are you holding yourself back? You want to let go of the boundaries and make a decision to commit to taking action on something that you have wanted to do to live healthier, yet have postponed it for a more convenient time or better circumstances. Create the circumstances now and remember that success likes speed – decide quickly that you already are who you want be (maybe just under a few layers) and that you deserve all the wellness in the world.
2) WHY are you choosing to make more conscious choices? Not just simple general things like having more energy and looking better – but WHY do you want to jump out of bed in the morning, have steady energy throughout the day and be ready to rest easily at night?
Consider what the little things are that will make a big difference in your life and WHY you want them. I suggest writing them down to get really clear and to be able to reflect back on them, sort of like a checklist journal. When you do this, it will feel so good to visually see your progress and know just how far you’ve come.
With health, most of us want to feel our absolute best all the time, yet it can at times feel far in the distance and not always readily achievable. I am here to show you just how much is possible and how close you are to attaining it for yourself. Many times, it’s just 1 decision away and you can choose that right now for yourself.
Sometimes when we are learning about a new to a way of living, we postpone making decisions that would ultimately benefit us, we get intimated feeling like we aren’t sure how to proceed to really make it work for us, we procrastinate and then just stay where we are, and don’t change a thing!
So consider that you grow when you are out of your comfort zone and decide what new attitude, mindset, or action you need to implement to go beyond where you’ve been, especially if you’ve been stuck or in a rut – and then, do it today. I’d like to emphasize that the best things come to those who are willing to learn new information, even if it’s an idea they haven’t heard before.
So if all this health stuff is confusing or overwhelming, know that you are presented with the material when you are ready to learn it. That’s just how the Universe works. There is a popular saying that the teacher presents itself when the student is ready to learn… so now may be a good time to shift whatever needs to be shifted and to let go of any excuses that have held you back in the past.
Finally, do what makes sense to YOU. Ask yourself if what you are hearing really resonates with you at the deepest level. Tune into that intuitive innate feeling that we were all born with! The power is within and I am here to remind you of the potential that is within you.
Your Body Is A Temple
Just think about that for a minute, really.
The idea of this is that when you treat your body with honor and respect, and embrace pure living, you take actions with the intention of healing.
You want to make choices wisely and to be picky with what goes into your body. Compromise is not an option if you want an abundantly thriving future. Don’t tolerate compromise when it comes to your health because our capacity to enjoy life is greatly lessened without it.
Your body is sacred and holds immense potential if you treat it in this way. You will reap great rewards with this mindset and emotional strategy that will continue for years to come because of the choices you made today. It’s time to commit to achieving a new level of health, to let go of the excuses and take full responsibility of your current state of health and appearance.
If it is not where you want it to be, then you are very fortunate that you hold 100% of the power to change what is needed to move forward and do something about it. If you really want something, realize that it can and will happen. We should expect the best when the changes we make are acted upon with effort, commitment, and perseverance.
And, you can’t forget about giving credit to yourself where it’s due: you are reading this article in its’ entirety, which is a demonstration that you care enough to gain inspiration and learn knowledge that has the potential to skyrocket your health. Pat yourself on your back just for showing up. A huge amount of success in any aspect of life begins with just showing up.
When you are looking to implement a new skill or bring on a new way of eating, you inevitably need to break out of your comfort zone to successfully achieve your goal – otherwise, you remain where you are, which may even be stagnant. I have found that no matter what the choice is, we really need to step beyond our comfort zone in order to grow and evolve. When you feel uncomfortable and are in the learning curve, you are moving upward, you’re reaching toward your big vision whatever that may be, you’re becoming more of who you want to be!
We tend to have negative inner self-talk and think that we don’t know what we’re doing, whether that’s taking on a new role within your company or embracing a new evolved way of eating. I have learned that if you push forward and act on it anyway, whether or not you have full confidence, the rewards will trickle in and eventually begin to pour in.
People are reluctant to make changes because many times they don’t know how to do what they want to do and are lacking confidence in moving forward – yet it’s this very decision that could bring them to the next level to where they want to be. So, step beyond where you’ve been before and continue with commitment, with learning, and acting in spite of fear… and your experiences and successes will be filled with insight and will compound immensely.

Letting Go & the Art of Allowing
There’s nothing like experiencing something that really allows you to realize that many decisions (and lack thereof) stem from fear. Personally, I can’t stand the idea of limiting my potential because of fear! Life lesson: The power lies in letting go and allowing (without being frozen in fear). In my carefree life, the Law of Attraction resonates with me and I see it happening everywhere I am. So, switch off the fear button and think positive thoughts! Oh, okay – that sounds so easy!
One of the primary contributing factors to dedicating my life to sharing what I know and have experienced comes from a place of seeing the quality of other’s life dissipate right before my eyes and not being able to do a thing about it. It all began years ago when the person I loved most lost their life to ‘terminal’ cancer. I say that in quotes because now I believe that illness and chronic disease are preventable, whereas then, I unfortunately didn’t know anything compared to what I know now. Without off-loading too many personal details, these circumstances were different; there was an exposure to something which did cause the cancer to be terminal (asbestos), however, it was the unhealthy lifestyle of this person that ultimately determined her destiny.
Suffering is not inevitable; compromise is not acceptable. Lifestyle and what you put into your body is everything. I spent a ridiculous amount of time researching, reading, and immersing myself in natural health information in hopes to save this person. My first encounter with a wellness center was during this time and I thought I struck gold. All that I came to know was too late to help the one person I desperately wanted to save. Now, nothing stops my path of helping others achieve outstanding, vibrant health.
The catch: this all goes to plan providing they want this for themselves, too. I’m an intense person anyway, and add to it this intensely driven nature to shift the mindset of the world (ambitious, I know), and do so in honor of the woman who gave me life.
I see this pattern with those closest to me. I recognize that no matter how much I want them to want the best for themselves, it really just comes down to each individual genuinely wanting it for themselves. Whether the passion and interest is there or not decides whether they take action. I can provide all the information, motivation, and inspiration they need, but if it doesn’t come from within, then the changes made in others (if any) simply won’t last. Some would consider themselves fortunate to not go through these life-transforming experiences, and the rest of us feel blessed to have been lucky enough to have persevered, and survived them.
Personal loss makes you want to give away and share everything you learned from that experience, to prevent others from unnecessarily shortening their life too. This experience was the pivotal point that ignited my passion for all things living. My story will be published in one chapter of the well-known book series: Thank God I, Volume 3 (expected publish date, fall/winter 2010). I am a contributing author with the inspiring Jack Canfield. Who would have thought I would become an author, publish my journey in writing, and empower others from my life experience? What a gift!
Mini Lesson in Empowerment and Inspiration
I’ve felt really compelled to share my story of how and why I am where I am. If you want to read more about my personal story, visit this page. More specific than this though – WHY am I so passionate about my life’s work and how it’s possible to be living so fully. Simply stated, I FEEL deeply that it’s just the way it needs to be, and should be, at least for me.
David Avocado Wolfe has said that you should only listen to those who are achieving the results that you desire. That sounds obvious, but people do not always practice this. If someone gives you a health or nutrition suggestion but they don’t visually appear radiantly healthy, why would you listen? We must take it upon ourselves to do the research and to educate ourselves. Make the effort to delve into the world of mis-information about health and wellness and be your own teacher.
After some self-study, you will soon be able to understand what is legit and what is worthless information. Try it; what’s the worst that could happen? We must look at information as powerful, although it can certainly feel like a blessed curse at times (if you’re being pessimistic). I’m being honest here. Sometimes I want to just move away to an island with my loved ones with what I know because the resistance and lack of acceptance from others is overwhelming.
Enter: the raw community, the conscious-minded community, the health advocates around the world!
Self-education is the best way to inform ourselves of the choices that lie ahead for our potentially very bright future.
I wonder why some of us are so driven to know more and to do whatever it takes to reach our potential. I’m on this crazy mission to share with everyone that WE HAVE THE POWER; WE MAINTAIN CONTROL OVER OUR HEALTH! Most don’t want to take on what’s necessary to truly make a difference in the way they feel… they make excuses and come up with every reason why it’s too much to change or too much effort. Then what I have to say is – your health is not a priority if you are not willing to do everything it takes to seriously prevent degenerative disease, among all these other ridiculous ailments that cause so much needless suffering!
I can’t ever imagine living and dealing with all those common ailments and side effects (headaches, aches/pains, gas/bloating/indigestion, skin rashes/eczema/puffiness, pudgyness, emotional rollercoasters/depression/anxiety/panic attacks). I continue to be blown away when I see how people compromise themselves unknowingly – allowing your own health to dwindle right before your eyes and do little to reverse or change it. It’s in your hands. Do something about it! I think something inside each and every one of us knows, like really knows what to do – as if it were innate.
