“Superfoods Song” REMIXED (Music Video!)

Superfoods Song” is a spoof on the “Yacco’s Nations of the World” cartoon which is an adaptation of the Mexican Hat Dance song.

My sweet love did the singing for the original song. In this remixed version above, I took the mic while he remixed with wicked beats. The remixed song is available on my YouTube channel: EdibleGoddess (and you are invited to SUBSCRIBE – more videos coming soon!).

This original song is on Christian’s channel IrresistibleHealth‘ on YouTube (to which you are also invited to SUBSCRIBE).

  1. Enjoyed the video Bethanne, now if you’ll just enlighten me as to which of the many wonderous superfoods you might suggest I start with to “fill” my pantry with as there are so many, just name like 3 to start, please please please. Thank you, keep the fun stuff coming (:

    • Sure! 3 of my fav’s are wild blue green algae, fresh aloe from the leaf, and astragulus root powder. Let me know when you’d like the next 3! And if you do not grow your own aloe, check around in your neighborhood (I was surprised to see tons of aloe that I could harvest) OR you can get it online. I used to get mine from Sunfood Nutrition and they have the best aloe ever by FAR – but, I don’t like supporting them now with the change of ownership. Packaged aloe is NOT what I’m referring to… not the same potency or quality (just fyi).

  2. Hey Bethanne
I have a really great aloe plant that I will take a pic of and show you, which I utilize an abundance of leaves from, it’s a really cool Aloe !! If I do buy Aloe I only use “Georges” aloe, he’s online if you want to check it out, small company. I had so many kefir grains I had to start freezing them because I couldn’t keep up with them all, there’s just 2 of us in the house, so I’ve tried restarting the grains in the last few days and I’m not sure they are going to work. ( water Kefir grains) But you prefer the grains instead of say a packaged starter? I went through the “ELixer” book last night and started making a list of the ingredients you use in your recipes, should I stock up on the herbs you recommend and do they have a good shelf life? Anyway I love what you’re doing and think you are just a sweetheart for replying to my many questions. Thank you so much and have a wonderful sunday.

    • You are so welcome Debbie! I’m happy to help with any questions that arise. Herbs have an amazing shelf life, usually best used within 1 year, but can certainly last much longer. Ideally, you want to transfer them into glass mason jars to get them out of the plastic, especially if you’re keeping them around for a while. And, your fresh aloe sounds fantastic! I just personally love the fresh, and am very skeptical of packaged aloe because 1 that was considered 1 of the very best of the best actually had parabens in it – NOT listed on the label and the reps never told anyone. I only know this b/c the product was pulled from David Wolfe’s old company – Sunfood – once he found out. And so… I prefer fresh aloe because of the “fresh” benefits and considering what companies can get away with and not list on the label.

We find greater success with making the kefir with grains, instead of the packaged starter.

In the next update of our book, we’ll be including a complete shopping list. For now, the glossary in the front can serve as the shopping list 😉

    • Next 3: Medicinal mushrooms, camu camu powder, spirulina. … and then marine phytoplankton, bee pollen, royal jelly (in the drink Immortality Cooler), MSM, and shilajit. Had to list 8… and really not in any super specific order, these just come to mind right away.
