Master Cleanse Kefir, Elixir Style

We’ve all heard of the Master Cleanse. You’ll likely hear mixed reviews based upon people’s different experiences this this kind of detox diet. The Master Cleanse Kefir that I’m sharing with you here is one you can have while you’re on the traditional cleanse if you choose, and also as part of any regular detoxification program to release unwanted toxins and weight.

This drink improves upon the well-known fasting drink. Instead of a water and maple syrup base, I use the outstandingly rejuvenating coconut water kefir, then add in the classic lemon, cayenne and sea salt. Shed the toxins and the pounds not on sugary lemonade, but on a deeply nourishing drink that heals your intestines, brings intelligence to your immune system, and naturally boosts your energy!

MASTER CLEANSE KEFIR Master Cleanse Kefir

2 cups coconut water kefir
1 cup ice cubes (made with spring water)
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon organic stevia extract powder or stevia liquid
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder (40k IU)
5-15 drops Ocean’s Alive liquid marine phytoplankton

Highly Recommended / Optional: 2 teaspoons fresh Aloe Vera inner gel (excellent for radiant skin, hair & nails – a true beautifying food)

Blend on high in a high-speed blender for 15 seconds, let foam dissolve for 1 minute and then serve in your favorite glassware. Master your health with the Master Cleanse Kefir!

  3. That sounds absolutely delectable and so deeply nourishing.

I have a quick question for you about kefir. I’ve been making water kefir using water and sucanat (because young cocos aren’t easily available in AK). I notice that it tends to give me somewhat of an alcohol-like buzz. Do you notice this with your kefir?

    thanks,
    Ela

  4. mmm.. sounds like a nourishing drink, I might give this a try sometime this week. I actually tried the master cleanse a few years ago to try and lose weight with no success. but I know it has a lot of health benefits as does kefir.

  6. This is a wonderful recipe, no doubt far more nourishing that the master cleanse – I did a detox before with lemon juice, cayenne powder, and the maple syrup, and I did lose 27 lbs. since July 2010, which I kept til last February 2011.

I went on the depo provera shot and man, the hormones are making me sooo hungry I just want to be eating all the time :(

I am so trying this starting next week.
